One of my best photography trips ever. After a disappointing Australia I was back in the UK less than 24 hours and fly to Oslo. Everything went well and I arrived in Svalbard on time for the trip my last trip in 2019 ended in disappointment after a air strike which lead to disruptions and missed departures.

This trip was in early September and although I knew that the ice would have melted nothing could have prepared me for the changes since I first went to Svalbard ten years ago. The glaciers have melted significantly and it’s quite sad to see the devastation we are causing to our planet. Nonetheless, it is still a beautiful place and I am honoured to be able to visit it the fantastic place a third time.

The polar bears were plentiful, although lots of scavenging to be seen. The light was beautiful and I was lucky to see some amazing skies and some incredible ice formations.

Thanks to Sven Vik’s team for making it an incredible few days.
