Namibia – Quiver Trees, Sand Dunes and Etosha

In June, Elaine & I together with our photography friends, Ann, Carol, David & Sue, went to Namibia for a 23 day tour. Elaine & I have been several times now so many of the areas we visited we were already familiar with but added Fish River Canyon which is a gigantic canyon in a barren area in the south of Namibia, Walvis Bay, famous for its flamingos on the Atlantic coast and the Himba people of Damaraland. Lots of photographic opportunity especially in Etosha so very difficult to make my gallery selection and keep to a reasonable number of photographs. The highlight of the trip had to be the Jackal on the sand dunes near Walvis Bay and the many zebras in Etosha which amazing were not as inclined to turn their backs to you went you pointed a camera at them.
