Last trip of 2023 was a trip with with Des Ong to the island of Madagascar. I was joined with my friend Larry Jackson for this trip. It was a small group of six people for most of the trip with a private extension for Larry and I at the end to visit Kirindy FOrest and the Baobab forest.
Madagascar as always been on my list of places to visit but seemed to always get put of as I think its one of those places that is difficult to cover and is reknown for its terrible road system, unreliable flights and potential danger from robbery and violence.
I did experience the roads and the flights but fortunately never saw any signs of danger and to be honest found the people very friendly.
The photography was challenging and the whole trip was quite exhausting with a signifcant part of the trip being spent travelling between locations.
Glad I did it but don’t think I will be going again!!
